Westend Estate - "Three Bridges" Reserve Durif

Westend Estate has risen to its award-winning status with wines such as this limited release, Estate Reserve "Three Bridges" Durif. Nearly impossible to find in the U.S., a portion was saved exclusively for us from the Riverina winery in New South Wales, Selected from their highest quality vines, winery owner Bill Calabria and winemaker Bryan Currie hand harvested these grapes and then aged them 24 months in all new American oak barriques. Bottled unfiltered, the "Three Bridgse" Reserve Durif sports an inky black color with a juicy plum and blackberry nose. Rich and full bodied with dark chocolate, vanilla, coconut oak and a long, fine-grained tannin finish, this wine will match perfectly with roast beef, fresh herbs and vintage cheeses. It will also certainly age for the long haul, so if you can secure yourself a case don't be afraid to try one bottle a year to enjoy its fantastic evolition.
