Liger Belair 1er Cru "Montmains"

Montmains is one of the classic Cru vineyards - a benchmark for producers to prove their Chablis credentials. This Montmains from Laurent Tribut, a small producer, has notes of mineral evoking thoughts of ammonites and wafts of sea spray over barnacle-encrusted rocks. On the patate citrus, thick, some spice, seems heavy without the normal acidity backbone but will certainly be interesting in 2 years time. Needs to be aged. tasted at the Justerini & Brooks annual Burgundy tasting.
